D2C · FragranceA fragrance brand with a product you cannot click
Traffic was healthy and add-to-cart was not. A discovery path lowered the risk of the first purchase.
- 1find your scent family
- 2compare notes
- 3try a lower-risk discovery set
The challenge
The product page asked for a leap of faith. Traffic was healthy, but add-to-cart was weak. The problem was not awareness. It was the gap between reading notes and imagining the wear.
What we did
We replaced the single product page with a discovery path: find your scent family, compare notes, then try a lower-risk discovery set.
The story
When the category is sensory, the marketing has to make the decision sensory too. A scent cannot be clicked, so the first step had to carry less risk than buying a full bottle. The path helped people find their scent family, compare notes and try a smaller set before committing.
